The End

Didn't happen!!!! A little laugh, but then again, every day is a new world & the true rapture is simply filling one's lungs with beautiful air & breathing out all the sadness of one's soul.

Looking Back

I seldom look back in time with out wondering whether a different thought would have lead me to a different path, which would have led to a different outcome & how impossible it is to know 'did I choose wisely?'. Obviously, there have been many missteps & disastrous outcomes. But if everything led me to where I am, is it not where I am supposed to be? And really, could it have truly been played any other way? Is it just a delusion that we could have done things differently? Hindsight may be 20/20, but is the vision of an alternative just a nagging fear?
If one is true to oneself, then it is the gift of only one possibility. So, it is not about looking back & mentally changing the past, it is the ability to accept that every misstep was a step in the right direction of becoming who you are now.
It is often hard to forgive others, but harder to forgive ourselves. My crystal ball is perpetually cloudy, but amidst the fog is my journey. Clarity comes with prospective, acceptance & the power to move forward into a very brilliant future. So I go forth.

Faith

From the Unity online newsletter... a great book excerpt below about Faith!

Focus Your Faith!

An online resource center has been created to support Unity's yearlong campaign—The Year of Abundant Living. Feature articles, podcasts, videos, music and other resources are available to help you create and live a meaningful life.

April’s Theme: Step Out in Faith
April’s Affirmation: I am strong, positive and powerful.

What Is Faith?
This excerpt by Robert Brumet is from his book The Quest for Wholeness: Healing Ourselves, Healing Our World.

“… Faith is intrinsic within the mind of every human being. It operates within each of us. We are often admonished to ‘have faith,’ but actually we cannot nothave faith! Faith is fundamental to our nature. To have faith usually means to focus our faith in a particular direction. Yet faith is always operating in our consciousness, no matter how doubtful or fearful we may feel.

“… Fear is having faith in certain images created by the mind rather than having faith in the creative power of the mind itself. … If we do not discharge this emotional energy from the body, these images will continue to haunt the mind. In a sense, we choose our reality because we, knowingly or unknowingly, choose where we place our faith.”

corner of my eye

Sometimes I get a fast, fading, brilliant flash of truth. I see it in my periphery, but can not catch or hold it. It is the moment of real & I know it to be buried under many layers of civility & acceptance. I know in that nano second EVERYTHING, but I can not retain it, can not hold it & can not explain it. I only know it is the real. That split second gives me all that I need to carry on, go forth & feel. It is the ancient thread of all that is human & all that is not. I feel peace just knowing that the serene assurance of continuity exists. We are kept away from this knowledge, but it is in our very DNA & can not be denied. On the edge of sleep........ it becomes more clear , but defies the ability to define. I shall slide into the slipstream of my humanity & be content to know that I shall always know...

Deep Breath

Everyday I start with taking a deep breath to infuse life back into my soul & body. What will the day bring? What shall I do with this day? Who will I see or touch? How will these hours bring me to my next day? And what wisdom can I find or give? When I grow, spiritually, what direction will I find myself taking? Is this the day I expand or is this a day of reflection? Will I be true to myself or deny my own thoughts/feelings? Can I be free of expectation & open to surprise? I await the flow & ask only that I learn & grow, so that I can give & teach.

Write it down!

Hey guys! I just wanted to drop you a quick note to remind you of something that has been on my mind lately. In fact, it recently became a song in my head and I haven't been able to shake it. My husband even plays the guitar and sings along.

So, here you go...

"Got an idea?...Write it down!!"

Okay, sounds easy doesn't it? But, you really have to make an effort to capture all of your intuitive and/or random thoughts in preparation for receiving the gem of a lifetime!

That's it, that's easy, now go get a pen and some paper and keep it with you or figure out how to use push button recording on your cell phone! :)
